Upcoming Courses in Transactional Analysis and Counselling
Research for the Holy Grail - 11th July 2009
Given the current trends for evidence based approaches to interventions and treatments, basic research skills will enable practitioners to develop objective ways to assess both their theoretical approaches and their interventions.
This course is aimed at counsellors and psychotherapists and will cover the development of methods for identifying, measuring and assessing the effects of therapeutic interventions and will enable practitioners to become familiar with some of the methods used to objectively evaluate psychological theories and theories of therapeutic change. Participants will also learn how to access research databases and present their research in ways that are readily accessible to others.

Heading ‘em off at the Impasse – Creative Writing Solutions for Impasse Resolution - 18th July 2009
Have you felt stuck, blocked or been faced with an unresolvable dilemma either in your own process or while working with clients? Impasse resolution is finding a way around this stuck place. It can empower us to think and feel differently about a situation, a person or an experience. Sometimes we need this for ourselves; sometimes we need to be able to facilitate this in others.
This workshop examines the nature of impasse and uses problem solving techniques via creative writing exercises to explore and resolve your own areas of impasse. The workshop is aimed at all professionals willing to deal with areas of personal impasse in a supportive and creative group environment.
