Next Steps in TA - Groups Date: TBA
Location: Newick, East Sussex
Course Fee: £70
These workshops are for those who have completed the TA101 course and would like to know more and for those who want to re visit the basics of TA in more depth.
Human beings are social animals. This means that much of their time is spent in the company of others, and indeed absence of human contact can lead to significant mental health problems. For most of us, from the start, we are born into a group (our family), and from this time onwards spend much of our time in groups. This includes: school year groups, sports teams, hobby groups, work teams, voluntary groups, and friendship groups. We are therefore affected by group dynamics in many settings.
Transactional Analysis was originally developed as a group psychotherapy and thus contains a significant body of theory and practice relating to groups and their dynamics.
Within this workshop we shall be looking at groups and how they operate. We shall use both people's experiences of groups and the workshop group itself to explore TA theory of dynamics of groups.
