These workshops are for those who have completed the TA101 course and would like to know more and for those who want to re visit the basics of TA in more depth.
Discounting is one of the core concepts of Transactional Analysis. It can be seen as the "nuts and bolts" from which other concepts such as games, rackets, and scripts are made. Yet at the same time discounting is not always unhealthy. Indeed, without the ability to discount we would find it difficult to function in our day to day life - especially with the competing pressures of a modern day lifestyle!
Accounting, is the converse of discounting. Whilst it is impossible to account for everything, what can useful is to learn to fully account in those areas of our lives that we find problematic.
In this workshop we will be looking at ideas around accounting and discounting, with a particular focus on different ways in which we can discount. Furthermore it will provide some ways by which we can deal with or resolve our problems through fully accounting the different elements.
