Counselling and Psychotherapy Training
(120 hours p/a)
TA clinical years 1, 2 and 3 specialist training: These courses are aimed at those wishing to go on and qualify as counsellors or UKCP registered psychotherapists. The courses will combine TA theory with practical application, demonstrations and case examples. Throughout the programme, the group process will be utilised.
Written work: Learning journal, short questionnaires after each weekend (clinical year 1 only), two 2000-word essays per year.
Qualifications: Diploma in Counselling.
Following successful completion of the foundation year, plus two clinical years and 200 supervised practice hours, and 90 hours counselling skills training students are eligible to take our Counselling Diploma. This exam consists of a written piece and an oral exam presenting their work.

Qualifications: Diploma in Counselling

Having built up 450 practice hours, and with 90 extra counselling skills hours, students should be in a position to apply for BACP accreditation.
