Certificate in Working with Trauma (online) – 30 hours – £445

This training for working with trauma will be a co-created and experiential course. As a training group we will work together to support your professional development as a counsellor or therapist working with traumatised clients.  

 

We will explore theoretical frameworks relating to trauma. We will work with clinical client examples to support the integration of theory and practice. 

 

We will understand the impact of what we as therapists are holding in the therapeutic relationship; exploring different transference and counter-transferential stimuli and responses.

 

We will be focusing predominantly on the following topics:

* How to identify different types of trauma in clients.

*The neurobiological impact of trauma.

*The effects of trauma relating to attachment to; self, others & the world.

*Treatment of trauma.

*Vicarious trauma

*Survival and beyond.

 

This course is for qualified or trainee practitioners who would like to gain a deeper understanding of Trauma.

This 30 hour course will be delivered online, interactively, using Zoom. There are 3 course options –

  • Course 1 – 12 Tues Evenings between 15th Sept to 8th December (now started)
  • Course 2 – 10 Monday mornings between 12th October to 14th December (now started)
  • Course 3 – 12 Tues evenings between February and May 2021 (6.00pm – 8.30pm)

A Link Centre Certificate in Working with Trauma will be provided at the end of the course.
