This 30 hour course is for those who have a basic grasp of counselling skills but would like to further develop their skills, knowledge and competence. We will review where each participant is in terms of skills and recap on earlier concepts to integrate and invite a greater depth.
We will build in new skills using creative interventions, understanding the transferential relationship, exploring how our value systems affect our use of skills, and tailoring our skills to work with different personality types.
Tutor/Pupil ratio is kept at a level to enhance the learning with an emphasis on learning from each other. There will be small group learning, exercises, practice and feedback as well as time in the larger group. Sessions will be tailored to the needs of those attending. We will draw from a range of theories with an emphasis on the practical, learning skills to take away and use.
Recognition: A certificate will be presented at the end of the course. Students who complete the course may apply to attend The Link Centre’s Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy Course.
