Claire originally qualified as an Integrative Creative Arts Counsellor for children and adolescents, training at Terapia and the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, London. She completed adult psychotherapy training at The Link Centre and is writing her CTA. Claire has worked as a therapist in schools, university, and a community counselling service and has worked as a counselling tutor for The Link Centre Intermediate Counselling Skills, NVQ Level 2 Counselling Skills, and Level 6 Child and Adolescent Counselling. Currently, Claire is a Foundation Year Secondary Tutor at The Link Centre, and works as a therapist in a primary school and in private practice.
Prior to training, Claire worked in education and community settings with children and families who experienced difficulties, particularly around neurodivergence and disability needs. This has remained an area of focus and interest, along with gender, sexuality and relationship issues.
