Exam Preparation/CPD Group – Online
Once people have completed their formal TA training it can often be challenging to maintain momentum and focus in the exam prep period whether for diploma, accreditation or CTA. We would like to offer on ongoing online group to support students on the final leg of this journey and a collegial environment that will give challenge, motivation and focus to achieve whatever your goal might be.
The group will be facilitated by Rebecca Davies, PTSTA (P), CTA (P), CTA Written Exam Coordinator, CTA Exam Chair and EATA Language Coordinator.
What to Expect
Each monthly session will explore a range of subjects including:
- Theory discussion
- Client and tape selection
- Mock exams
- Answering written and oral questions
- Theoretical discussion
- Desensitisation and anxiety management
- Ethical dilemmas and tensions
- Understanding the marking criteria
- Practical issues (e.g. recording equipment, presenting written work)
- Supervision on exam process/clients
Each session will begin with a contracting process to tailor the content to the group’s needs and goals.
Facilitator: Rebecca Davies, Dip. TA Psych, Cert in Body Psych, Dip. Supervision, PTSTA(P), CTA(P), UKCP Reg. Psychotherapist
Participants: Maximum number of 12 participants.
Group hours: 35 hours. Live and interactive via Zoom. Sessions will not be recorded.
Recognition: A Link Centre CPD certificate will be presented at the end of the course.
