Certificate in Counselling Skills – online (30-hour course)
This 30-hour online beginners Certificate in Counselling Skills course is for those who are at the beginning phase of their counselling practice and would like to gain practical knowledge and confidence.
During the course, we will explore what the role of the therapist is, how to develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and a range of interventions. These seemingly basic skills are the building blocks of all future advanced skills.
Training Overview
In this experiential training, we will consider one piece of theory or a specific intervention, before going into smaller groups to practice the skills we will be learning. With tutor support, you will gain feedback and understanding around both your strengths and what your learning edges are.
Rebecca’s training course is run in a safe, friendly and contained manner. She offers a wealth of experience both from an academic and clinical perspective. She really offers the golden nuggets for trainee therapists but is also able to pitch the training for those that are yet to start their training. Course Delivery: Live, interactive online sessions delivered via Zoom. The sessions will not be recorded.
Pre-Course requirements: None.
Recognition: A Link Centre Certificate in Counselling Skills for 30 hours will be presented at the end of the course. Trainees who complete the course may apply to attend The Link Centre’s Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy Course.
