Certificate in Counselling Skills
This 30-hour online beginners counselling skills course is for those who are at the beginning phase of their counselling practice and would like to gain practical, knowledge, and confidence. During the course, we will explore what the therapists’ role is, how to develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and a range of interventions. These seemingly basic skills are the building blocks of all future advanced skills.
Training Overview
In this experiential training, we will consider one piece of theory or a specific intervention, before going into smaller groups to practice the skills we will be learning. With tutors support, you will gain feedback and understanding around both your strengths and what your learning edges are.

Course Delivery: The course will be delivered online and will encompass breakout groups, practice skills sessions and larger group discussions. Sessions will not be recorded.
Recognition: A Certificate in Counselling Skills will be presented at the end of the course. Trainees who complete the course may apply to attend The Link Centre’s Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy Course.
Tutor: Link Centre core tutor Rebecca Davies, PTSTA (P), CTA (P), UKCP Reg. Psychotherapist is the course tutor. Rebecca is passionate about skills and facilitating trainees discovering the practical side of being a therapist.

An initial non-refundable deposit payment of £60 with the balance of £420 payable two weeks before the event. Monthly payment plans also available.
Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are non-refundable. 50% of remaining course payments will be refunded on cancellations with more than 7 days notice.
