We invite you to explore our workshop series, “Neuro-Affirming ADHD Couples Therapy: Therapeutic Themes and Interventions” designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists interested in enhancing their practice. This series applies a classical Transactional Analysis lens to the principles of the Gottman Method, focusing specifically on couples where one or both partners have been diagnosed or identify with the ADHD neurotype.
Understanding Neurodiversity
Using a Transactional Analysis and systemic lens, participants will deepen their understanding of ADHD and appreciate the significance of a neuro-affirming approach in therapeutic work with couples.
Classical Transactional Analysis and the Gottman Method
Participants will learn to apply the principles of the Gottman Method through the framework of classical Transactional Analysis, gaining insights into common therapeutic issues as well as applied interventions.
Focused Learning Sessions
Participants will engage in three sessions exploring therapeutic themes specifically relevant to couples navigating ADHD themes, with case studies, role play illustrating practical applications.
Skills Development
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in role-play exercises, case consultations, and an interactive Q&A, aimed at equipping them with effective strategies and insights.

This five-day online training in trauma counselling with Jonathan Lake will provide practising counsellors and psychotherapists with a detailed understanding of how to work effectively with the various types of trauma we see in the therapy room and onsite at critical incidents.
A 24-hour online workshop for counsellors and therapists which will include both theoretical and experiential elements, and includes experiences of group membership and leadership. Participants will be supported in learning about different types of therapeutic groups, practical considerations in running them, and invited to reflect on their own process to develop their own skills to offer group therapy.
