Gill Dawson
Gill is a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with an advanced diploma in integrative psychotherapy (Level 7). She is proficient in Transactional Analysis with an integrative approach. Her specific area of interest is in trauma (specifically dissociative disorders and addiction). She has been formally trained to work with people in addiction recovery and has extensive experience of working with young teens within a school setting. Gill has 4 years’ experience of private practice and is familiar working with a wide range of presentations.
Currently Gill runs psychoeducational and personal development courses within organisational settings. She is passionate about psychoeducation, the tutor position she holds at the Link Centre provides opportunity to enthuse others with her passion. Gill is creative (being an abstract artist) and has become interested in how the application and appreciation of art can be integrated into the therapy setting.
